Nodulin

Nodulins are proteins found in the nodules of leguminous plants, particularly in the root nodules formed during symbiotic relationships with nitrogen-fixing bacteria, like rhizobia. They play crucial roles in facilitating nitrogen fixation, which is the conversion of atmospheric nitrogen into a form that plants can use for growth. Nodulins are involved in the formation and function of the symbiotic structures that host these bacteria.
